I was that kid in elementary school that finished their test early just so they could cover it in doodles. I drew constantly as a kid. I got in trouble in church for drawing the pastor instead of listening to the sermon and doodling in school instead of taking notes. I don’t think anyone was surprised when I pursued a BFA at Grand Valley and graduated with a portfolio bursting at the seams with whimsical paintings. I quickly got a contract with Recycled Paper Greetings and have worked with them ever since. I have also worked with many other wonderful companies such as NPR, My Favorite Things Rubber Stamps, Iguana Magazine and Winter Promise Publishing just to name a few. I currently live in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I work with and around my two greatest creations, my boys, Wes and Will. My hope is that my art work will create marketable products, brighten peoples day and just plain make people smile.
